Mac helper
The helper receives slide controls from TokTokTok. Keep your presentation app open on your Mac.
macOS 13 or later. Download the helper from this website.
Set up your Mac
- Unzip the download and move TokTokTokHelper to Applications.
Open the helper. Its controls appear in the menu bar or the helper’s on-screen surface, depending on the installed version and your settings.
- Allow Accessibility access.
Use the helper’s setup guide to open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Enable TokTokTok Helper, then quit and reopen it if the permission change has not taken effect.
- Open TokTokTok on your iPhone or Android phone.
For the Wi-Fi connection, put the phone and Mac on the same network. Choose the Mac on the Connection screen. Accept the connection request on the Mac.
- Open TokTokTok on your Apple Watch or Wear OS watch.
The watch can use the phone connection or connect directly over Bluetooth on supported devices. A direct connection has its own approval request. Approve it on the Mac before presenting without your phone.
- Try your presentation before the session.
Open the presentation app and select the intended presentation device. Check both next and previous controls. Behavior depends on the app and its presentation mode.
Why Accessibility access?
macOS requires Accessibility permission for the helper to send key commands to a presentation app. TokTokTok uses the active app to choose the appropriate slide or page command. It does not record your presentation screen or read what you type.
Presenting from an iPad?
You do not install a computer helper on the iPad. Open TokTokTok on the iPad, import a PDF from Files, and select the iPad as the presentation target on your watch or iPhone.
Remove the Mac helper
Quit the helper, then delete it from Applications. You can also remove its entry from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
Windows PC helper
The Windows helper forwards watch or phone controls to your presentation. Bluetooth availability depends on the computer and its adapter.
Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11. Unzip the package before running it.
- Extract the ZIP to a folder on your PC.
For example, use C:\TokTokTok. Run TokTokTokHelper.exe from the extracted folder.
- Check the Windows security prompt.
The Windows release may appear as an unrecognized publisher. Confirm that the file came from this site. If Windows blocks the file, review the file and publisher information before deciding whether to run it. A school or organization may require its administrator’s approval.
- Allow the private-network connection when requested.
The phone and computer must be on the same trusted Wi-Fi network for the relay connection. You do not need to allow public-network access.
- Keep the watch app open and select the computer from the phone.
If the helper shows separate phone and watch approval cards, approve the devices you want to connect. If direct Bluetooth is unavailable, use the phone’s Wi-Fi relay.
If a watch does not reconnect
Open TokTokTok Settings on the watch, choose Device Connection, and select the computer again. Reconnection behavior can differ by the installed watch app and helper version. For more help, include your device and version details when contacting us.
